Giving without knowing the recipient’s address

By the Cinta team

You can choose the gift and write your message without collecting the recipient’s address. They receive a private link to provide details directly to Cinta or decline before confirmation. They are asked for no payment, and their details remain absent from your tracking.

On the gift page, open « Préparer ce cadeau » (prepare this gift). The form opens in French. Choose « Non, je l’inviterai à répondre » (no, I will invite them to respond), then enter your details, message and preferred date.

The recipient’s email is optional and prepares an invitation. The current process simulates gift notifications: entering an email does not prove an invitation was sent or received. You can manually share the link to try the process with fictitious data.

  1. After creation, keep your own tracking link. It must remain yours.
  2. In tracking, open « Demandez-lui son adresse, en privé » (ask for their address privately).
  3. Click « Obtenir le lien à partager » (get the link to share).
  4. Use « Copier le lien à partager » (copy the share link) and send it directly to the person concerned through your usual channel.

Explain who it comes from and why: the link lets them provide an address to Cinta without paying. Do not publish it in a group, public page or screenshot. Do not send your tracking link instead: the two accesses have different roles.

The recipient sees your name, message and preferred date. If they confirm their details, Cinta proceeds to check the gift and delivery. You see that delivery information is ready, without seeing address or phone number.

While the request awaits their response, you can create a new link. It immediately replaces the previous one and has its own seven-day validity. Share only the latest; renewal does not reactivate the old link. After confirmation or refusal, this action is unavailable.

If the recipient declines, the request is cancelled. If your tracking access expires or the button disappears, do not promise a new link: consult private-link help. For next steps, read tracking and notifications.
